Also a good day for a 3 Stooges marathon.
We need to make Good Trouble on Monday, Jan 20th, for Trump’s inauguration. I propose volunteer work, peaceful protesting and holding community space all while participating in a complete media blackout of the inauguration.

BREAKING: In an unprecedented move, more than 75 Nobel Prize winners have signed a letter urging senators not to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as head of the Department of Health and Human Services.

It's the first time in history that Nobel laureates have come together to oppose a Cabinet choice.

I see a trend developing here. It appears that the more stressed I get the more cats photos I post.

Bird and cat feeds. I am exhausted with fear and pain treatment. Not sure what I would do without these gentle distractions.

"If you’re a health-care worker who sees a patient in a mask, put one on for them. Don’t make them ask. Don’t psychologize them. Don’t betray the trust they’ve shown you. They’ve put their lives in your hands. Don’t take that for granted, it’s not an easy thing for many of us to do"
A plea to maskless health-care workers from vulnerable patients - Healthy Debate
Health-care workers have a responsibility to protect their vulnerable patients. Our lives are in your hands.

It has been suggested that I get another opinion (what am I on 4th now)? At an NCI designated facility. Does anyone have any favorites? I can go pretty much anywhere.

I often feel like one of the luckiest people in the world. Especially when I open my eyes to this.

So inquiring minds want to know. What do you call these? My SIL calls them Toe beans, which is certainly the cutest name I have ever heard for them .

Spent half the day in scheduled out patient surgery. I got a good report from the doctor now just waiting on pathology. All that to say I'm not sure I have the bandwidth for social media today.

Gotta love a dual purpose living room window. I feed the birds and squirrels and in return they entertain the cat and myself. I can always tell when he sees something because he whacks his tail back and forth. Seems like the fairest of trades to me. Oh that politics were so sane.

I got lost on your thread, as usual. Bless both of you. IF I survive this mess it will be because of my animal friends and their people.

So Im just curious. Do medical providers really understand what it's like for patients in significant pain to hear, we can order this or that image or try this or that medication? Do they know the relief, the emotional lifting of spirit that happens when someone in distress feels heard?

This kind of thing never ends well for this cat yet somehow it never stops him. All I can do is watch the oncoming train and then check for injury and reassure.

First person accounts are that much more chilling. No wonder she supported VP Harris. How times change. I abhor Cheney senior. Or maybe she and her father are just that different.
