Just started Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and finished the tutorial battle and the “We Continue” prompt on the post-battle screen is so good.

UI doesn’t need to be “invisible” or diegetic to pull you into the game world. This is worldbuilding. Wonderful.

I’m Josiah, a localization director cum narrative designer who has worked on several Resident Evil titles including RE 3 and the Shadows of Rose DLC for RE Village. I left Capcom last year to push harder into narrative and game design, and am looking around for opportunities once more. Cheers!

I've long been a fan of Zach Gage's games. He's one of the very few devs on my "day one instabuy" list, so when he unveiled his latest project I was immediately interested.
He's heading a new "puzzle page" a-la NYTimes but with a really excellent philosophy behind it.

Spent the afternoon in Ikebukuro at Tokyo Yosakoi. First time at a yosakoi festival in…four years maybe? I really missed this.

I also realized all over again how spoiled we were for good teams in the Gifu/Aichi area.

The cats were extremely unhappy about being in the car for eight hours driving from Osaka to Tokyo. They calmed down a little at hour six but I was really worried they would spend the next few days being freaked out and not eating. Nope. They have settled right in.

Hey there! I've just left Capcom, where I spent five years working on narrative and localization on a handful of Resident Evil titles (and "just" localization for a few other projects).

In two weeks I start my next adventure as a game designer (focusing on narrative) at a new studio in Tokyo!
