Cody Roberts made his first court appearance Monday after being charged with felony animal cruelty over the torment of a wolf that sparked global outrage.

The Sublette County resident is free while awaiting trial and isn’t required to post bond to stay out of jail.

Two incidents involving antisemitic language and symbols at the University of Wyoming are under investigation for potential Title VI and civil rights violations, UW President Ed Seidel said Friday.

Some questioned why Seidel didn’t publicly respond sooner to the episodes.

As the Dollar Lake Fire near Green River Lakes burned thousands of acres of dense timber over the weekend, another forest fire erupted at the south end of Star Valley and forced people from their homes.

A fast-moving wildfire along the Bridger-Teton National Forest road to Green River Lakes exploded to 600 acres in about four hours, closing the road and forcing the evacuation of campers in the area.

"I just see a whole slew of vehicles coming down the road," a witness said.
