I never thought too long about that guy, but hearing that he was a voice actor 100% makes sense.

At most 14%, or it would've made third place.

PS5 tends to follow very closely to where PS4 was 7 years prior. That being the case, somewhere around 92-93m seems likely. 100m would require a quarter of over 15m, and neither PS4 nor PS5 have ever had a quarter as high as 10m.

They were the ones that had that "ONLY FOR Game Boy Color" in the corner. If it didn't have that it was a dual mode game that would still run on the older hardware.

A while back I looked at the game lists on Wikipedia to see how heavily development trended to GBC-only, here's what I came up with.

Drawing the borders of another large area that will be filled with white, some contours start to become clear.

Nintendo always classifies GBC as just part of the original Game Boy generation, even though it got a lot of exclusive content.

Game Boy Color was 100% a rushed product to take advantage of the new life Pokémon brought to the Game Boy because they weren't close to ready with a proper successor.

I'd be skeptical of any particular number going around, but human scale of modern development multiplied by 8+ years can't be cheap.

In the 60s one of several spinoff concepts that never made it far was a show set on a medical ship. Search "Hopeship" for further info.

I think (name of system) Edition is about as simple as I'd want them to go. Versus having dozens of games with something like Glowed Up appended.

It was announced only for Switch several months after Switch released, first party Wii U releases were a thing of the past by then.

I like that "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" is a clearly defined set of attributes, so when a game has that you know exactly how the cross-gen nature of it will work. Versus other games that might have a totally separate version, possibly with save sharing or not, possibly with a discount or not.

But it is also on Steam today.
