Counter offer: Abolish the agency entirely and spend the rest of their already approved budget on Nuremberg-like trials for every last person who ever worked for them.

I grew up on one, and concur regarding the grossness of said farms.

Hey, everyone, we're at the "papers please" random stop level of fascism.

Yes. All the empirics on misinformation indicate that the way to defeat bad ideas is to mock and marginalize them. Constantly declaring "hey the far right isn't so bad" is a terrible strategy both morally and electorally.

Dems should be way more comfortable saying "look at these fucking psychos"
Progressives really hope, and maybe even believe, that there is some magic thing they can hijack to attract conservative voters.

The focus on this mythical quest is the central reason they lose.
I found this piece sad too, but mostly because it is part of a years-long effort by progressives to understand what "really" animates Trump voters.

We already know! It is racism, misogyny and misinformation. I know that sounds condescending or whatever but it's simply what all evidence suggests.

I'm paraphrasing an old tweet that often gets quoted, though I can't seem to find the original source at the moment.

Libertarians remain indistinguishable from house cats - entirely convinced of their own independence while being completely dependent on others for keeping them alive.

Let me guess: It's because what they would photograph being built would not cost nearly what they're claiming, and the extra money will just evaporate after construction wraps up.

Clankers are using the corpses of beloved members of our society for a macabre puppet show, and any sane, decent person should be repulsed by it.

To be fair, racist podcaster president is basically a lateral move from rapist reality TV host president.

Great, now all the lead-poisoned boomers addicted to social media will have a lawnmower taken to the last tiny threads keeping them thethered to reality.

If that's who I think it is, Pizzagate Jack would definitely be wearing the suit made with machines run by children in a basement somewhere.

See how I didn't need to take you seriously from the beginning?

Cute, but redacting reality isn't very respectful of my sacred opposing viewpoints.
September 26, 2025 at 7:00 PM
But if their viewpoints are entirely craven and based only on what they think will get them power, there's no logical basis to it and therefore no reason to entertain them as if you can learn something.
