I like to imagine that had St. Vincent Millay and I lived at the same time and known each other, we would have been star-crossed lovers.

But I think we all know I would have harbored a devastating crush, said nothing then whispered my true feelings into the envelope while RSVP-ing to her wedding.

Millay is mostly in iambic pentameter, too, so her poems are super easy to memorize!

I think I’m probably talking past people with how I use “neutral” here! I mean it like how the ICRC is neutral in a conflict.
