I have decided that I don’t like all that negativity, so I’m going to try to balance it out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to send hate mail, but for each piece of hate mail I have to send a positive postcard. Those I’ll actually spend money on, the hate mail will be scraps, lol.

Now that all the snow has melted after being around for so long, and with how cold it was, I wonder if this thaw is what the Narnians experienced as the White Witches powers started to weaken 🤔

Bought some postcard stamps (the machine apparently prints out stickers instead a booklet), and I cut up some cereal boxes into the size of post cards. Time to start letting some of these politicians and public figures know what level of dumb I think they are, lol.

Just got the iPhone 17 and, maybe it’s the “new phone” glow, but I’ve loved toying with it, revisiting games and apps I used to love, but I’m also excited that it’s summarizing (and reducing) notifications. I didn’t realize how much that was contributing to my mental static and sense of overwhelm.

I’m at a point in life where I can designate the passing of time not only by years, but also by pounds. When talking about a pair of pants I can’t wear anymore, instead of, “those were from 10 years ago”, I can say “those were from 15 pounds ago”. I’m not sure which one is more painful…

Ryan and I realized that, since I’ve moved in, a lot of our time together has just been because we’re living together instead of planned. He felt like I wasn’t putting as much thought into our time vs the time I’d plan with friends, so we came up with the idea of “intentional time” vs “date night”.

Planner came in yesterday and I’m pretty excited! It’s bigger than I thought it would be, so that will be an adjustment, but I’m looking forward to using it! I was hoping to start writing in it yesterday but, since I didn’t have a planner till it arrived, I never wrote out my agenda for the day…

It’s amazing the things you learn as you get older. For example, what do you MEAN that my left leg doesn’t work right because I slept wrong and pulled something in my back?! Since when are those connected?!

I’ve spent the majority of my morning looking at planners. I’m putting so much energy into this, you’d think this planner would make or break my 2026 experience, lol.

A problem I sometimes run into when I get excited about something is that I can potentially go a bit overboard. With Ryan’s gap year being officially started after he’s off work today, I’ve been showering him with gifts and celebration plans when he probably just wants sleep, lol.

During the winter months, and moments of stress, my boyfriend gets the strong urge to make changes around the house. Tomorrow is his last day of work before his gap year for school (stress) and the temperature just dropped from 70s to 30s (winter). Please pray for me, I struggle with changes.

We’re doing a white elephant gift exchange at work and I am WAY too proud/amused with my idea ($5 limit and no time to shop, so I tried to get creative).

Got my parents a Roku for Christmas and the first thing we’ve done is put a “Cat TV” video on YouTube (Birder King is my preferred channel), and it’s SO FUNNY when the dogs occasionally lock in, lol.

Had a friend over last night so I dusted off my Switch after maybe a year or more. Got it charged up, updated, and all my games updated, and the left Joycon started drifting HORRIBLY! The thing has been in a case the whole time, so zero chance of physical damage. Definitely a bummer…

My coworker gave me a Pikachu ornament and I brought in the MyMelody Squishmallow I bought recently! I really don’t think anyone would believe an adult works at my desk 😂.

I wanted to put something on in the background while working, and since I can’t watch Pokémon Horizons on Netflix (not on the home wifi 🤦🏼‍♂️), I figured I’d catch up on Yu-Gi-Oh! on Tubi. I forgot how much of a diva Maximillion is 😂. Top tier villain!

This morning was super great because I got to spend a major portion of it running numbers and planning out budgeting stuff. I knew finding a budgeting app I liked would be great, but I’m even doing stuff like saving for my 40th bday in late 2027, lol.

We got snow! VERY pretty and Murphy seemed to have a good time (even though he kept losing his boots), lol.

I’m not sure I’ve known such pure terror as when I opened the Nintendo Music App and my online subscription had expired. How am I supposed to deal with my thoughts without listening to Wii Coconut Mall (Mario Kart 8 version) on repeat?!
