Confirming Jays can still clinch tomorrow with a win and a CLE loss.
Gives TOR 90 wins min and CLE can max at 90.
For CLE to max at 90 though that means DET max wins is 91. For DET to max at 91 means BOS can only max at 89.
If DET beats BOS 2-1, and all 4 teams 90 wins, CLE gets ALC, TOR wins WC.

typically this is the time of year leverage flips from players to teams a bit, but some plugged in ppl think Jays now have to overpay to land free agents and typically Jays are pretty disciplined

my impression from talking to plugged-in people at the Winter Meetings was the Dodgers, Blue Jays & Red Sox were leading contenders for Teoscar Hernandez ... it's clear Teo & Vlad Jr. would love to play together again, as they remain close ... similar player type to Anthony Santander, yet fewer yrs

I think I'm could talk myself into Bregman being the #1 backup option for the Jays after Soto. Not at 300M, but maybe 200 or slightly less?

Another wrinkle with Kikuchi deal. Is it a sign Boras is willing to move a bit earlier? This yr he reps more top players than usual (Soto, Burnes, Snell, Alonso, Kim, Bregman, O’Neill, Manaea etc etc). Some ppl think he’ll be more motivated to make moves in & around winter mtgs than he was a yr ago.
