I'm being told that game developers are "scared" by Baldur's Gate 3's scope/size/quality.

I'm very on board with this. If you did something so wild that they had to rewrite the rules to stop it from happening again, at minimum you should get a trophy of some kind and they should have to name the rule after you.

Weirdly, Good Omens season 2 feels stronger than the first season, despite the lack of a long-beloved book as its foundation. The heavier focus on Crowley and Aziraphale plays to the series' greatest strength, the stellar Sheen and Tennant. I don't think it would hold together without them.

Realized this morning that SNW is failing at being Trek in a key way: It's consistently good. We're well in S2, where's the real stinker episodes? Where's the Code of Honor or Move Along Home?

It's just good, all the time! That's not the Trek I'm used to. I expect Deeply Uneven!
