Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase on Wednesday! More details about our coming updates and our expansion!

Tune in to see me make at least one truly horrible horse-related pun

NEW DEVELOPMENT:

The Hudson & Rex fandom has taken out a *full page ad* in the Toronto Star to voice their displeasure with recent developments and seek justice for the original Hudson. (Credit to my mother-in-law for the discovery and photo.)

Hours later, the old Hudson posts on Instagram sharing that he didn't quit the show, seemingly claiming that he was essentially fired while recovering from cancer??

Today an article about the new Hudson and his rapport with the new Rex came out and its tone seemed slightly... odd, like they were trying to position the new Hudson as the superior Hudson. Is... is this supposed to imply the old Hudson stepped on the dog...?

So now the "Rex" portion of Hudson & Rex has been replaced. Not long after, the actor who played Hudson began to face health challenges and the show cast a new Hudson. THAT'S RIGHT, THEY HAVE ACHIEVED A COMPLETE SHIP OF THESEUS BY REPLACING BOTH TITLE CHARACTERS

THE DOG DIED AND THEY KEPT IT A SECRET FOR SIX MONTHS. They "Paul is Dead"ed the dog!

Hudson & Rex is an oddly dramatic Canadian police procedural adaptation of a lightly comedic Austrian cop show, Kommissar Rex

I would like to take a moment to share with people the absolutely demented story of Hudson and Rex, a Canadian cop drama about a cop and his partner who happens to be a dog.

PLEASE STICK AROUND UNTIL THE END, I PROMISE THIS IS GOING PLACES YOU COULD NEVER EXPECT

This week we announced our next expansion, Disney Dreamlight Valley: Wishblossom Ranch. It will bring everything players have come to expect from expansions (new biomes, villagers, quests) along with rideable mounts -- both your own customizable horses and beloved ones straight out of Disney movies!

This German donair sandwich nearly killed me and I'm okay with it

Nothing tastes like it used to, does it?

One of my favorite micro-periods in comics as a kid was the stretch of Fantastic Four where Tigra & Thundra were both extremely hot for Ben Grimm. This whole era right in the middle between the Lee/Kirby run and the Byrne run is not particularly well-remembered, but it's so fun and so Marvel to me.

I've been getting a little into birding because I need some hobbies that don't involve games. Sadly all I can think about is how cool this audio bird identification tool in the Merlin birding app could be as a game mechanic.

Maybe the most visually beautiful shot ever in a movie. Could have packed it in right here, visuals-wise.

Good news, Switch 2 owners 👀

Who is this red-bearded pirate man? 🤔 I could swear I've seen him somewhere before.

Find out in Disney Dreamlight Valley's next developer update video June 4th!

If you're wondering how things are going over at that other place, I've been getting barraged with ads about Howie Mandel being arrested. This one doesn't even have a real picture of Howie Mandel!

This show sucks and has way less Noah Wylie than I was led to believe

The way that CNN phrases its "catch up on the day's stories" headlines frequently leaves me confused.

Season one of Severance was okay but would have been great if it were the same amount of plot told over six episodes instead of nine

4. RED BEARD

If you pick a Kurosawa, it can't be Seven Samurai or Yojimbo. This movie, the story of a town doctor and his new apprentice, is as beautifully visually composed as either of those, with surgery scenes that play out like samurai battles, but it has a more explicitly humanist core.

3. SLEEPING BEAUTY

Have you taken a look at the backgrounds in this movie lately, or the character designs? Visually, this is the most beautiful of any classic Disney movie. Every frame's a tapestry. Storywise, the movie really clicks into place once you realize Maleficent is the protagonist.

2. OUT OF THE PAST

Trenchcoats and fedora, city streets slicked with rain, doomed romanticism. Robert Mitchum spitting the greatest one liners in film history at Jane Greer. And that high contrast black and white! Nobody can make cinematic images like these anymore. Nobody's even trying.
