Lifting went well today- pushed it a little bit, but not too much. Bench (315#), deadlift (365#) and squat (365#) felt heavy but manageable. Have already bulked too far and have to turn it around lol. You can lift heavy in your 50s, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

TLDR take away from Gavin De Becker's "The Gift of Fear" - Trust. Your. Gut. If a person or situation is giving you the creeps, your subconscious is picking up on something - listen to it. Plenty of great info in here as well about intuition as a survival skill. 4.5/5 #bookreview

The preliminary sequence from the H5N1 human case in British Columbia has been posted and it is not good news. The virus potentially has a quasispecies at HA residue 226 (H3 numbering). This is bad news because we know that mutations at residue 226 can increase binding to human receptors. 1/

Hello Bluesky! Off that other site ... couldn't come soon enough. I feel like Twitter is gone forever - maybe it's time to create a new vocabulary for Bluesky. Maybe instead of tweets, we are releasing balloons? Something fun to replace what we've lost. I like it better here already. #bluesky
