I have downloaded the Deepseek R1 distilled, SmolLM, and TinyLlama models to my Google Pixel 7a. I am going to import them into Google's AI Edge Gallery app. I am going to prompt all 3 with, "Good Morning. Can you give me a simple recipe for scrambled eggs." Let see how this goes!

I am confused. My windows PC boots fine and plays RDR2 just fine. If I boot Kubuntu 24.04.2 LTS or PopOS 22.04, it will boot to the wallpaper, but the desktop never loads. Tried on 2 different USB thumb drives. What can I do to see why the desktop won't load?

I got lucky that I have a standing appointment to take my mom to get her groceries every week. I found her unable to speak, answer my questions, or even move a week ago. Turns out she had a UTI that had turned septic.
