Last month, I used ChatGPT to convert the sample ballot for local elections into an accessible format I could read. Just two examples. So, no, we are not talking about different things. Most people just want to ignore nuance.

That is just ignorance, but forgivable since so much is made of the plagiarism issues, which I agree are a problem. ChatGPT specifically can describe images for the blind and also powers specialized apps like BeMyEyes which provide a better experience of the same.

I’m a blind person. AI has been life changing for giving the visually impaired access to images and improving accessibility across a range of things. AI may often be misused, and it certainly has its problems, but it does have uses that are priceless, especially for disabled communities.
