Maybe CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS shouldn't have half-ass reported and both-sides every issue the past decade and we would have never gotten to this point.

No matter how much the deck is purposely stacked in their favor, the future is not inevitable. AI and Oligarchs may destroy the life we are used to but that doesn't mean we won't be able to create something better once they are destroyed.

People believe lies & conspiracy theories because it's psychologically easier to believe an unlikely narrative rather than engage in a hard and complicated reality where their own long-term participation & thinking skills are needed. Accusations fit on a bumper sticker; the truth takes longer.

Eisenhower was a Republican. He helped America win the war against Nazi Germany. His Republican Party does not exist any more. End of the party began in the 60s with Nixon. Every GOP president after that added to the decrease if the GOP. Today it is 100% gone.
