Lovely to spend the evening with our wonderful governors, who give their time and care to advancing and championing the College.

Our Catering & Hospitality learners and our Creative Arts learners were superb - a real testimony to the power of vocational education and training.

Incredibly proud to have won the Social Mobility Award at the Inclusive Companies Awards.

We also ranked in the Top 50 UK Employers List 2024-25 🏆

Important recognition of our journey towards nurturing an equitable, safe and diverse place to learn and work.

I’ve spent the day with some inspirational people, who have demonstrated care, compassion and commitment in supporting the advancement of our anti-racism journey @bridgendcollege.bsky.social.

It was an honour to spend time with some exceptional students, staff and governors.

We welcomed the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Vikki Howells today, as we hosted the Colegau Cymru Principals’ Forum.

A chance to explore and discuss both sector specific and cross-sector priorities, concerns and opportunities as we look ahead.

My takeaways…

💡 Diversity gives breadth of thinking, ideas and problem solving.

💡 Failure is the best teacher.

💡 Importance of non-negotiables AND flexibility to do other tasks when it works for the individual.

A great day participating in the #CarbonLiteracy programme today, connecting with public, private and third sector colleagues working across Wales.
