My company actually gave us the day off for holiday. My dumb ass didn't realize it till I worked for an hour. Spent the rest of the day playing video games because the ballot was mailed last week.

It sucks that every four years for the last 3 cycles we learn that our neighbors are at best stunningly easily conned and at worst are amoral psychopaths. I don't need to know that, let me love my fellow man.

I feel awkward asking people about their professional work because idk if they want to talk about work outside it. That said if you don't mind: are there any earth life forms that astrobiology uses as a model?

I'd say I can't imagine them being undecided before but... that is a group that struggles with critical thinking.

It's been weird being a catholic with atheist friends. Mainly because I can counsel them on working through feelings of sharing religious views with truly awful (usually white cis male) people. I'm glad my atheist friends don't have to grapple with musk now though.

Yeah, it is pretty silly, though if you asked me if tv Hillary or movie trump would be more likely to backstab I would guess movie trump.

Remember donaghy and Cheney had a very special relationship so that endorsement would probably sway him. Plus trump didn't help with the rich cop plan.

It's wild how close so many states really are. I'd be shocked if this was the final map, but the sea of red and blue really hides how were talking about elections decided by 10% or less in so many places.

I use this as a personal litmus because I grew up sheltered from women's health, but had a number of unashamed female friends who didn't hold back on problems, and then met my wife who does not at all hold back. Better late than never, but wish it had been sooner that I internalized women's stories

Best joke relating to this was a remake of Batman asking Supergirl instead of Superman "Do you bleed" and getting "Yes, every month for a few days". Just very different experiences where a man think's he's being hardcore about blood and it's not impressive.
