Hot off the presses, this article by Priya Morley discusses why climate migration and displacement implicates racial justice.

I recently The Encampments. If you want a masterclass in movement-building, look no further. The students demonstrated how to force confrontations with institutions complicit in genocide—cutting through negotiation theater and refusing to be placated. Brilliant.

Today I shared space with dozens of immigration advocates who are all alumni of the Immigrant Justice Corps. We discussed movement lawyering and how to respond to ongoing attacks against immigrants. These are troubling times, but so many of us are standing up to fight back (which brings me hope!).

Andrew Cuomo running for NYC mayor is giving Gretchen Wieners trying to make "fetch" happen. Spoiler alert: it's not gonna happen. NYC deserves a forward-thinking mayor who can meet this moment, not a nostalgia throwback to set of failed centrist politics. Let's leave the past where it belongs.

Just presented on my team’s work to advance climate-related asylum claims in U.S. immigration courts, and engaged in a rich discussion w/practitioners, scholars, law students and organizers on how the law can address climate migration and displacement, generally. Shoutout to the organizers of NDEL!

My climate legal team and I recently published a report containing firsthand accounts about how climate change impacts migrants and displaced people in the Americas. The report is now available in Spanish and Haitian Creole on our website: refugeerights.org/news-resourc...
