We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

You would never have heard me agree with Charlie Kirk. I found his politics abhorrent and his beliefs to be extremely polarizing. But, VIOLENCE IS NOT THE GODDAMN ANSWER. We may disagree, we may not like each other, and we may not see eye to eye, but killing someone for their beliefs is NEVER ok.
