Only if GDP is the limiting factor. That's clearly not the case right now. The limiting factor is that the huge sums of public money spent on healthcare are flowing into the pockets of vested interests rather than being spent on actual healthcare.

But here's the thing, you don't "grow" your way back to long lives. You do that by changing policy. Europe consistently gets far superior social outcomes to the US deep south (and other parts as well) because we invest our money in our societies.
