RIP Alex Pretti- murdered by ICE Officers for the crime of trying to protect women who were legally observing their (ICE's) behaviors. Shot 10 times for having a legal concealed gun. It was concealed, holstered on his person.

Resisting by: meeting people I have no connection to; learning about other communities; and the National Parks I have not explored. I am reinforced with my belief that small communities invest more in their communities traditions than larger communities per capita....

Glad to get to Ashville, NC and see how clearly the community has rallied to get their city back up and running. Yes, still much work left to do but I was glad to visit with artists in the art community and see that they are working and wanting visitors/customers.

Spent my day driving to a place I had never been; discovering and meeting strangers who allowed me to have a really wonderful day. Sad that none of my acquaintances were willing to be photographed - distrust is real. That said, their recommendations were so wonderful.
