The Payment processor stuff is bad, But it's been ongoing for less than a year and it's absolutely not fair to act like Steam hasn't been really fucking good with stuff like this generally

I definitely do not envision Grummz or anybody else in that circle suddenly praising the game over this.

It's not ever a winning play and it's upsetting to see companies repeatedly fall into that trap.
