🍁 Retired BC K-3 teacher. Here for science, mental health, education, Canucks hockey, things that make me laugh, recipes, #CovidIsAirborne I'm Jo-Anne
@Jo10030676 on Twitter/X but won't be there much longer.
My laundry rm is just off the kitchen so I have container, large enough I can hang them over to dry a bit, for cloths (I change them daily). Have a small garbage can on top of dryer. Day before garbage day, start at top of house and collect all my little bits of garbage as I clean my bathrooms.

As teachers we do make lots of assumptions! My own 'mistake' was for many years I thought it was 'gorilla warfare'... Don't remember in Elem. school when I figured that one out - no Google then, which saves me lots of embarrassment now.

People need to realize that many benefits we have in Canada, including great maternity/paternity benefits for all, are as a result of unions. (As a teacher in BC I lost $$$$$ striking for working/learning conditions. Class size and composition are essential for all learners' success.)

My understanding is some CPost employees get benefits and some do not. This would cancel their benefits I would think? A lot of unionized employees across Canada will now be supporting employees I would think. As a retired teacher I support the employees.

It did for me. I copy and pasted the maple leaf, went to edit profile and it worked.

Thank you for sharing. Although I will feel ill at ease your post encourages me to wear a mask at an indoor gathering with former colleagues I really miss. (Some I go on outdoor walks with, some I haven't seen for years.) I know I will be a #LoneMasker.

I think it will create a lot of extra work/difficulties for small businesses who have to make these changes for only a couple of months.

Yes Love your work.

My concern with the elimination of the GST for a couple of months is it's disruptive. Small businesses having to change their machines, education of what is/isn't GST free, servers trying to explain the differences in alcoholic bevs, etc. Just give lower income people more $ based on tax returns!

I'm 67 and used to use 'guys' but tried not to my last few years of teaching b/c some people felt it was not gender neutral. It was relatively easy to change to 'folks, everyone, Div 23, people, friends, class, everyone wearing red, etc'. There are a LOT more concerning things in the classroom.
