If we are going empire again, can I at least request that our military have better battle and general dress requirements? An empire needs its military personnel to have a certain elegance to it. Militaries used to have a je ne sais quoi in their attire. Why no longer?

Might I suggest inspiration?

Yet another reason to prefer Apple Maps. Fuck you, Google.

This extends to their houses of worship, too. Catholics and Orthodox generally have beautiful, nearly otherworldly structures for their services. Older Protestant churches excluded as they’re just as beautiful but outside of Anglican/Episcopal, contemporary ones look like strip malls or warehouses.

I searched and searched but did not find a dye-free version of this medication to give to my child. Why do pharmaceutical companies insist on adding synthetic dyes? It doesn’t make kids want to med any more than dye-free and it stains whatever fabric that they spit it up on when given. Please, stop.

My Top 8 artists from #AppleMusic #Replay. Maybe I should calm down on my listening of #TaylorSwift… Or not. No, I’m not.

Valdosta in Georgia, my hometown, used to have passenger rail and later was connected by Amtrak. Sadly in the 1970s the Amtrak line was decommissioned. Now the city has no connection to any passenger rail.

The station no longer exists, demolished for… parking… like much of the downtown.

It’s almost that time of the year for people in suburban homes to start putting together their ideal layouts for Christmas Villages and here’s a reminder that it is currently illegal to build this sort of well connected urbanism in the U.S. #urbanism #christmas #walkability

“Okay so the Kwisatz Haderach is a supreme being crafted through selected birthing by interstellar witches called Bene Gesserit, and the one that becomes such is none other than our very own Lisan al Gaib, Mahdi, Usul, Maud’Dib, Mentat Emperor, or simply Paul, awakened by getting high on spice.”

Something that I simply cannot fathom to comprehend is HOW Americans in the 1950s were convinced that the best thing to do to their cities was to gut them and turn them into blocks separated by highways. Walkable urban fabric destroyed by car centric urban planning.
