Liquid Glass has been available to the public for some time now and available to developers for even longer. The fact that so many developers, who continue to submit updates, have yet to update the UI to fit with iOS 26 is interesting and also disappointing.

I do like that Threads has a higher engagement rate. Bluesky, on the other hand, feels like posting into a void.

It makes me (un)reasonably frustrated in Expedition 33 hearing the English VA for Gustave pronounce Lune’s name as « Luné ». This, of course, prompts other English speakers who don’t otherwise know to also mispronounce the word « lune ». There is not an “eh” at the end of her name. Just « Lune ».

Maybe nearly the whole internet’s infrastructure shouldn’t be in the hands of one company.

When AWS is down, so too is much of the internet. Not a good idea, I don’t think.

Parents complain that their neighbourhood doesn’t have an active Halloween scene, and then they do what other parents in their neighbourhood do; take their kids to “better” places. This practice if done by enough parents removes the very children from their own neighbourhood, diluting further (1)

Apparently I left lip balm in a pocket, washing a drying my load of clothes.

A single tube of burt’s bees ruined hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. I cannot get the oil from the balm out and I’m totally furious.

Now I have to spend tons of money on new clothes. I’m no longer using balm.

Something about the laughing emoji on Facebook makes me unnecessarily angry every time that I see it, especially when attached to a post that isn’t funny in the least.

But it does expose the sociopaths.

The USA has a lot of cities named after famous European cities, but if you take a look they certainly do not meet the standards sought to achieve. Most of them… if not all of them are TEMU versions of the real thing. Depressing, really.

I’m applying for FAFSA and going through the entrance counselling is quite a bit different than when I first did it for my baccalaureate years ago. The language used is much more hostile and punitive.

“No matter what, pay it back or we’ll report to FICO, garnish wages, and withhold tax returns.

I also think that GameFreak should really consider getting back to roots with their Pokémon games. Newer instalments have been lacklustre. The ones on the 3DS and prior were great.

That being said, when is Sapphire/Ruby, Black/White, and X/Y coming to Switch? Make it happen, Nintendo!

Imagine, if you would, a clamshell mobile gaming machine, akin to the 3DS, that has a borderless top screen and an improved bottom screen.

Call it the GameBoy Reborn or something. It’ll sell like hotcakes.

That said, Nintendo also needs to bring back the iconic name “GameBoy”.

I’m replaying Pokémon X on my 3DS XL that I pulled from my attic and I must say that Nintendo knocked it out of the park with this console. It is, hands down, the best mobile gaming console.

The Switch is fine, but for mobile gaming, the 3DS XL is superior in form. Nintendo should bring it back.

Littleroot Town theme from Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby is probably the most beautiful song from the franchise.

The fact that there were advertisements during the military parade is disgusting. Trump used our military as a commercial for his pals.

The show adaptation of The Last of Us Part 2 fundamentally misunderstands the source material and the tone. It’s disappointing seeing it unfold and clearly being a lesser quality narrative wise.

I’m so tired of adaptions changing so much of the source to the point of not being the same story.

If we are going empire again, can I at least request that our military have better battle and general dress requirements? An empire needs its military personnel to have a certain elegance to it. Militaries used to have a je ne sais quoi in their attire. Why no longer?

Might I suggest inspiration?

Rewatched Les Misérables after having not seen it for a few years and it still makes me ugly cry.

I adore the book, the film, and hopefully one day more, the play.

I wish to dress so much better, like men once did, but socially I would feel awkward.

I think that subconsciously we, as a society, acknowledge this — particularly when referring to historical media like Outlander / Les Misérables — yet we cannot bring ourselves collectively to dress well once more

Every day, I think of the beauty of A Plague Tale: Requiem. The story, the presentation, the score. All wonderfully working off of each other to craft an astoundingly powerful and compelling video game.

Asobo really knocked it out of the park, especially for a smaller studio.
