When will kiwirail and Auckland transport understand that closing the rail network for a month in December and January isn’t first world behaviour? I know of no other serious city that takes the piss out of the travelling public like this.

This is the most persuasive structural thinking I’ve read for ages about the rise of T in the US. There is a big underlying economic failure the “moderate left” simply isn’t coming to grips with.
