Temperatures are dropping and we visited the apple orchard. Time to start playing my fall playlist, the title of which I am all too proud of:

I was really hoping for a feel good match with a quirky yet tenacious underdog with the Auckland City vs. Bayern Munich, but it went exactly the way one would rightly assume

It'll be an early morning on Friday as I'll be presenting remotely from Maryland, but I'm eager to present my paper at the KCL CEMS colloquium and to hear all the wonderful papers planed for the day. Sad to miss the tea and dinner, however

I have been in this gallery dozens of times and never noticed this picture. My kids pointed it out yesterday and it is now an instant favourite

I am elated that I successfully defended my Ph.D dissertation yesterday! I owe a BIG thank you to my terrific and generous committee who have helped me develop this project in so many ways, and to my wonderful family who have supported me through the difficult research and writing process.

I'm excited for the Folger Christmas concert this weekend. The main focus will be on Charpinter's messe de minuit pour noël, but they are also putting Warlock on the programme, and who would have guessed such wonderful Christmas music from a man with this goatee?
