I think I’m a little crazy for starting to draft parts of Helena Book III while also drafting Folklore and rewriting the first 10-11 chapters of Aetherfall.
But I find shuffling my work around allows me to resist burnout without getting writer’s block. I’ve been pretty much hitting 5k words a week.

Since 11/1 I've drafted over 8500 words on my new project, Folklore, and also drafted another 3600 on a rewrite of a long time dark fantasy project, Aetherfall.
That's 12k+ words in 10 days. The NaNoWriMo spirit seems to be alive and kicking in me now.

This past weekend was the first weekend in a very long time when I did pretty much no writing or editing.
I spent a lot of time with my family, especially my boys, and did some shopping for myself updating my wardrobe with some new clothes.
It felt nice taking that little “break”.
Time to write!

Went to a nearby cafe that features live music (generally soft jazz or coffee house genres) and wrote there for an hour or so.

Just beat the DLCs for FFXVI.
I know the combat and RPG-lite mechanics were an issue for many fans in this one, but I still argue it has one of the best stories, and certainly best protagonist, in the series.
I’d rank 4th on my personal list behind FFVI, FFXII, and FFVIII.

Just beat the DLCs for FFXVI.

Took the morning off work today, after finishing review with my editor, I hit the gym for 45 mins of cardio and some weights. I have a long term lower back injury so I have to be really careful with some of my cardio exercises and hip movement. But it felt good to get this in early in the day!
