I actually completely disagree with you on both these counts, I don’t think we can safely say there is not an increased risk of pancreatitis, furthermore the mechanism is very clear - they work very particularly on pancreatic hormone and metabolic regulation….

Until we have bedside testing widely available for subphenotyping highly morbid syndromes such as sepsis or ARDS going to be difficult to run decent trials, or identify the highest risk patients in a timeframe that changes outcomes eg post op - we are behind other disciplines in this regard
