X is seeing a fairly dramatic fall in active users across Europe.

“We found that X had a total of 94.8 million monthly active users in Europe in the 2025 report, down 13.2% from the 109.2 million it had a year ago.”

I wonder why?

Robert Crampton in @thetimes.com today showing how absolutely mad researchers can be, and leaves me wondering who on earth they talked to in order to get these results… apart from, ummm, some other rather strange Americans.

The Times shouldn’t sit on the fence.

Their review of the live action version of Smow White rips it to pieces, and ends up giving it one ⭐️!

Oh what a shame…

@thetimes report on the Utd game was obviously written before the result:

“If Amorim wanted to know why Moyes had managed a new-manager bounce… he only needed to watch the first five minutes of this convincing Everton victory to see the difference.“

Everton victory?

I thought it was a 2-2 draw.

I hate to have to break it to you, but the real victim is actually Allison Pearson. 😳

A question.

Why do @Canderel only put one sweetener in each of the packets, when it is obvious that anyone that they will need at least two, especially when they are having a deep fried full English breakfast alongside their cup of tea?

There would be less wastage to double the number in each one.

Doing a pick up from Stansted Airport. Plane was delayed (over 2 hours), their luggage still hasn’t made it to the carousel, and I am going to be charged the earth for parking.

I was supposed to be picking them up at 11pm, it is now 2:15am, and I am somewhat tired.

Rant not over by a long shot.

Honda and Nissan to merge, creating a company with a market capitalisation of $50bn.

Tesla has a market capitalisation of $1.3tn.

I still can’t work out why anyone would think Tesla is worth that much.

Why is any book that is too long for a critic to read in an evening considered unacceptable? Maybe because they have to actually put some work into it and try to understand more than one story line at a time.

@hugorifkind.bsky.social has written an incredibly compelling and thought provoking article about the ‘assisted dying debate’.

“Today’s column was about how my mother’s long illness shaped my view on assisted dying, but perhaps not in the direction you’d assume.”

On those rare occasions I disagree with him, I have to go back and re-read the article and try to work out why I am wrong.

@StigAbell
However, there may come a time where a book that you tried to read and just didn’t ‘get’ comes back later, and you love it.

As Stig Abell wrote about Moby Dick…

It might be worth leaving a book unfinished, not wasting precious reading time on it… but trying again later when it might just ‘click’.
