Was looking forward to the new series of Patience on Channel 4 but disappointingly it's dragged in a tedious "new" story with a new character rejecting our friend's talents, been used before and it's disappointing. Hope this doesn't last the series.

If you, like me, weren't familiar with this poem:
—————————
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
I had a 6th grade teacher whose daughter had OD’d not long before the school year had started. The only time she cracked, and I’ll never forget, is when were doing a poetry section.

Emily Dickinson’s “I shall not live in vain”, such a short and simple poem broke her. Only poem I have memorized
