Yes, things are dark now. But that's why I (and presumably others) are "thinking big." Green technology is still on the rise, making up more of our energy supply. I see people more accepting of the queer community, the court system at least trying, various protests happening. (2/?)

I believe that even though yes, we've made progress overall, there's still progress to be made, and I can't give up on that.

I truly believe in the goodness of people, and the greatness we can achieve. Together, we've truly achieved great things, and I believe everyone regardless of ethnicity, orientation, etc. is worthy of good things and the chance to do good.

The days I feel this shame, I really wish that I could just...stop caring and not do anything. It would make things so much easier on my mind.

But on the other hand, my idealism prevents me from not caring. (2/?)
