Part of the continued emergence of bats from St Clair cave in Jamaica. There are an estimated 2 million #bats using this cave - 10 different species. An incredible sight. 🦇 #Jamaica

Back to 🦇 content - this is the endangered Fijian free-tailed bat. There is only one known maternity roost for this species. We’ve just released a video on how we worked with local partners and communities to save this species from extinction: vimeo.com/1038668450

Cameroon leaf-nosed bat (Doryrhina camerunensis) from Nyungwe National Park - this was the first time this data deficient species had been detected in #Rwanda 🦇

Flashback to when I was lucky enough to catch the wrinkle-faced #bat in #Mexico. This species primarily feeds on soft fruit. This face sums up my mood during an early morning call 🦇
