I had the privilege of working for the Town of Carlyle a few years ago and was impressed by the success of their main street full of local businesses. This CBC story shows what a great example it is for small towns and communities, especially today when buying local is more important than ever.
In an era of big box and online sales, Town of Carlyle shows how small biz can thrive | CBC News
In an era of online shopping, how does a town of about 1,500 people support more than 200 businesses? Carlyle, Sask., shows how a bit of extra customer care goes a long way.

This piece nails it. The organization has handled this so poorly, it shows dysfunction and incompetence didn't end with the Benning regime. Still team Petey all the way haha.

Wider streets are a terrible idea. They are less safe, more expensive to build and maintain, and take up valuable land that could be put to better use like housing or public space. Most streets are already too wide as evidenced by massive “sneckdowns”
And Rashovich wants WIDER STREETS. In Regina! Motherfucker, how about if we are going to be adding 3m of asphalt width to every street, that gets charged to the PEOPLE WHO ARE PARKING ON IT. Why am I subsidizing people having too many damn cars? #yqrcc
