This is why you don't cede ground to fascists. It will never be enough for them. It will never be pure enough for them. They'll start cannibalizing each other before ever admitting that things are satisfactory. The most humane thing you can do for them is to offer them a hearty knuckle sandwich.

Democrats warned there were arsonists in the neighborhood, then got tangled in their own hoses when the fires started. I don't blame anyone for not trusting them to do the job. It still needs to be done though. If someone else is willing to put them out, I don't care if their shirt isn't blue.

It was funny to me how popular he was after the movie, because I had been reading CW, The Initiative era, and Secret War. Tony making himself the Director of SHIELD and general top asshole resulted in his becoming massively disliked. Thor returning and spanking him was historically cathartic.
