In his rhetoric and discourse, yes. And while Obama’s methods weren’t as brutal or openly authoritarian as Trump’s, Obama still deported a great many people.

Washington has been strategically pivoting (or attempting to) from Europe/Middle East toward Asia for at least 15 years. Obama/Clinton signalled that.

But Starmer is not liberal or democratic. He has attacked human rights, curtailed the right to privacy, right to protest etc. He is wrecking the economy to appeal to racists, and is implementing racist policies.
