Fried Egg Sandwich
@jonlumer.bsky.social
Two pieces of toast, two fried eggs, mayo, tomato, iceburg lettuce, Belizean hot sauce.
When you're literally at war, the normal rules don't apply. You might choose to respect the laws of war (Russia doesn't, of course), but you don't tell the artillery division to respect local noise bylaws. Russia is at war with Europe and the West. Europe has been reluctant to fully admit this.

These people give grovelling sycophants a bad name.

I am happy, but still mystified we haven't managed to confiscate and utilize the Russian assets that are there for the taking. We don't need to observe rules that protect Russian property. They have abdicated all international norms, rules, regs, agreements. They forfeit their shit. That's it.

The "glaring irregularities," specifically. To claim an election was "stolen," I would have assumed something specific would need to be apparent *prior* to any kind of "discovery," which I don't believe quite works here the way you think it does. Though I only ever practiced criminal law.

Gotcha, but can you be a little more precise? More than five years have passed since the election you're referring to. Trump himself was President at the time and remained so for months afterwards. Made a real effort to prove the election was stolen, in the court of public opinion and actual court.

Don't go back to Twitter. You're most welcome here. But I do want to understand this from someone with your perspective. To date, has there ever been any evidence produced anywhere that someone stole the election from Trump? It's a fairly serious allegation, no?

If it was just 4%, then your chart is broken. Storing nuclear waste is a manageable problem. We've been doing it for 75 years now. The energy is so dense that there's not actually that much of it. Plus always on, rain or shine, wind or no, which is nice.

So if Germany had kept nuclear, they could have been off fossil fuels entirely by now?

WHAT A PIECE OF HUMAN GARBAGE. I don't like him at all.

Even when a Liberal leader fully adopts what were theoretically the main planks of the Conservative platform, they just can't move the needle in Alberta. Probably shows (1) people don't actually follow political news or know what they themselves stand for, & (2) bending to AB is all take no give.

Insatiable need or not, money is power. You can't have a properly functioning democratic society when there is such an insane disparity between a few individuals and the rest of society. We all need to be bound by the same rules on some level and they simply are not.

I don't want to minimize the value of the material assistance, but I basically agree with you. Ukraine should never have had to bear the burden that is measured in dead bodies all on its own.
December 4, 2025 at 10:22 PM
We won't put any bodies in the fight to save Ukraine now, but we can use their bodies later to help defend ourselves, assuming they survive of course.

Gotcha. That changes everything. Please accept my apologies.

This is not confusing enough and needs more scare quotes.

I do hope this gets resolved, but to be honest I'd be more worried about having a "very damp" basement, Charlie.
