With respect to Jake Paul, Andrew Tate, and don't forget the Tommy Robinson interview, it hasn't been a bad weekend in all fairness.

No the Northerner scene in London does exist actually.

We seek each other out to exchange anecdotes about the price of stuff.

"£2.50 for a can of coke? blinking heck."

"I had to pay £25 for a hair cut last week."

"Ay 'av you heard about that pub that sells pints for £45 each?"

But these days they're so desperate for content and engagement that whoever wrote this decided to interview a couple of his mates and then attempt a full length obituary - and clearly didn't either think it through or have an editor look at it first. 2/2

I think it's more of an indictment of the current state of local journalism. 30 years ago it would have been 2 sentences at the edge of the page simply acknowledging that man of X name had been in an accident on X date and died as a result. 1/2

I used to wonder why Hope Station in the Peak District always seemed to be called Hope (Derbyshire) - turns out there's one in Flintshire too on the way to Wrexham.

Bet that looks good at night. My home city of Manchester is surrounded on all sides by hills which give a good view of the city, there're a few places you could see London likewise (Hampstead Heath, the Chilterns) but these are fewer and further between as the surrounding geog lacks much elevation.

Do you get a view of the city from there?

This took bloody ages to research - I don't think anyone has brought all this together in one place before - so please do take a look.

It's just basically what the left kept saying about Corbyn?

Just noticed that Worcestershire is the same shape as France.

Is this going to be the first ever election where Labour and Conservatives *on aggregate* lose more than half of the seats they're defending?

Is it not like the American model of executive and legislature?

Should Angela Raynor be worried about Musk working out what Greater Manchester Police is, then what Greater Manchester is, and then how she's associated with it? Or is this pushing it somewhat for EM?

When asked to elaborate he said that while exiting was desirable for sentimental reasons, he understood it would probably be undeliverable in practice.

I can recall when I was doing my A Level in Government and Politics way back in 2013, before the word Brexit existed even - one of the Tory students in my class said that he hoped the UK would one day leave the EU, but that he wasn't in power when it happened.
