Yeah it always made going quickly quite easy. An amazing point to point car, assuming you weren't sat in the back seat...

Could you imagine the reviewers of that vs today’s cars. The whole rear 1/3 was glass, and they’re complaining about rear visibility? The glass was high so admittedly reversing to something was trying to guess how far the spoiler stuck back but otherwise. And yeah a lovely thing to drive

At least that way it can’t be your fault. Neighbours daughter’s fox was written off, she sent me the links to the handful of Fox she found to replace it. Maybe this one, but I’d buy a Yaris in your budget like this. She didn’t just buy a Yaris like this, she bought THAT Yaris… now praying it’s good

I think it makes a big difference to general ownership if they're reasonable practical. It's why I've always had things like the F-type/350Z, or even the TT roadster for eg in the no good pile, but the TT/370Z, and my tendancy to 4 seater verts because they can handle the day to day practical shit

It's been a fabulous day for diagnosing an unrelated DNS error on one of the sites I look after...

Unfortunately sold mine and the card in the early days of eBay before they were collectable

8GB was bloody stingy in 2012, especially doubled with apple’s upgrade prices on ram and hard drives.

With my E36 it still retained heat with the hard top on. The difference is with the soft top you can suddenly drop 10°+ of cabin temp by simply dropping the roof. That’s no so easy if out n about with the hard top on

It really isn’t fit for purpose in the modern era. The sensible option on so many levels is move it up north, build a new building to modern standards. Turn the old one into a museum

Still not a fan of the idea of an iPhone powered MacBook. Sounds too much like the 1.4ghz Air/imac. Underpowered and a regret 3 years down the line. Personally still say M* powered Air is all the machine 90% of us need, don’t buy a desktop Mac, just buy a big screen for desktop duties

I went through bigger puddles yesterday

Yeah my Mrs calls it orange, and at first she was like not that colour, but we didn’t want a silver/white one either, but 125i are rare, manual ones extremely rare, and non monochromatic singular. This was it

Thanks. I’ve been really happy with the colour, always adds a bit of brightness to the day, though my Mrs still prefers the previous E36 calypso red

Yeah 18, but it is probably amongst a handful of the oldest E88 in the UK.

And yes time really does a weird thing as we get older.

Thanks. Yeah shes still scrubbing up well (at least from 10 feet anyway). Still difficult to believe she’s 18 in a few weeks.

Over here ownership info isn't public, it let's you run an MoT history check of a car (and if its insured), our only risk is the plates can be cloned so a criminal could be incurring you with parking / driving offences, but I figure its just as easy for them to see the car in the street

or slightly earlier...

Similar thinkings. The noise from those Mercs is just godly. Also, Lexus RCF & Mustang. An Audi S5 is also somewhere near the bottom of the list because a) they’re plentiful and cheap (to buy) b) I’d rather go RWD than quattro

My year old air m2 is on 100%/34 cycles (bought at 6 month old on 6 cycles), but I’m also experimenting on this with the 80% charge, as it lasts me a few days

To be fair it was probably only a 30% quicker death than the rust
