Careful, I predicted in 2010 it won’t be a bad winter I’ve bought snow chains for the Audi

Now I'm back at the correct computer... said grainy photo, and some better ones taken on the 400D at the Chatsworth Rally show which feels recent, but the exif points out was 18 bloody years ago 😱

I have done occasionally, just I don't think to the level of the sexiness of the E36 shots

An #Apple Silicon Mac in for an upgrade. Whilst for too long much of the internals of macs has been soldered, on these M4 Mini the SSD is replaceable!

Now someone offers a 3rd party SSD, so we can actually upgrade the M4 Mini! Even once we’ve factored in labour this 2TB works out at over half price

Bought a new cat climbing tree to entertain the cat...

Built it, introduced the cat to the new climbing tree. Less than 5 minutes later…

Yeah, wasn't a fun drive home from where I stashed the hard top, to get it home & start cleaning. Thankfully Renovo soon had it looking good again. Shame as I liked the looks of the hard top, but it did keep turning out to be a PITA

Stage two of the groundwork’s, drive has always been tatty and narrow, so time to get the experts in, and the big toys.

Hoping I can now wash the car without standing in the flower bed on the left

Stage one of some groundwork preps, unfortunately this Rowan tree has been attacked by a previous owner trying to chop it down, and the rot has set in, so unfortunately had to chop it down.

Getting the tree down 1/2 hour

Getting the stump out 2 days…

Yeah kind of on that on it, my whole Godox rig isn't much more than a single Canon flash gun. If it breaks, gets lost, ooo new version, it's not like they're the min £300+ for the OEM stuff. Oh and only paid £40 for the X3

There's a new version?

I was all in for ignoring this, but whaaaat...

Yeah crash course in kit isn’t great for the stress levels. I’m familiar enough with the old one enough I think but I’ve had a play at home with it. You can also control it via the camera, or can on the Canon at least

What’s your sign?
September 30, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Yeah I've since picked up the 'cheap' Canon 800, not always the easiest beast to use, especially trying to follow stuff. This was what I was getting with the 400

I purposely went for the red, if I'd gone black, then the choice of sedan would have changed....

I ran CrossClimates on the E36, utterly superb in the wet, still great in summer, but when the snow hit you could put it places you shouldn't put a rwd BMW...

Our local Lidl is an improvement, but, basically the only truly accessibly bays are directly alongside the store, I go for the ones near red line, I can back in, unload my trolley from the path, walk back to the trolley bay. The rest instead of a path between cars has chippings & a few token plants

Easy to miss Cutthorpe Creamery cafe, you have to drive across a field & it’s a converted caravan hidden in the next one.

Usually have a breakfast but on the specials today was a steak & Stilton pie (I’m ignoring the semantics of it being a hotpot)

Was everything ok? OK? That pie is FANTASTIC!
