My family still has this little blue ball Christmas ornament from my dad's childhood--it's a music box that plays Silent Night, but it's so worn out that the song goes at like 25% speed and you can really hear every brass clang of the parts moving inside. Naturally, I adore this artifact

One of my most niche interests is old TV ads (many of which I've watched on the collection of VHS tapes passed down to me by my parents). McDonald's used to do longform-ish ads like this that (while deeply weird and sometimes uncomfortable) had real craft to them youtu.be/5Xi-kKMBNe0?...

Pretty sure it's gonna be "The Orchard" now that we're up to "The Orchap," but there's a lot of lateral space left: they could still surprise me with "The Orchardplex" or "The Orchardium" or something

People ask me if it's hard to do a 2.5 mile hike as my commute every morning, and some days, I do get pretty tired, but I'm also regularly able to get depth of field/elevation difference shots like this
