Commodore Amiga CD32
The Amiga CD32, an early 32-bit console. The grey box has a CD drive on the left (with a transparent beveled bubble reimescent of late 90s design) and the usual ports on the right, including a volume rocker, on the right (with faux louvres reminscent of late 80s design).

Was the Gradiente Expert a MSX machine? If you asked their laywers, they'd say no. If you ask everyone who patched MSX games to run on the Expert, they'd say yes.

The computer itself is a grey pizzabox, with black angular highlighting joining the two cartidge slots and the power light. A small recess in the computer allows the keyboard to be locked in place, although this seems only to be to hold the keyboard in position, not to store the keyboard.

It's time computers got friendly again.

A magazine article for the game Temimu. Top left, it gives the name, the review ("Daruma fighting!"), the controls (one player on the keyboard, one player on the controller); it states that the game works on the MSX and MSX2 with 8K RAM. Top left, it gives a screenshot of two bird-looking things, P1 in yellow and P2 in white, facing each other; P1 has 10 points of life, P2 has 10 points of life. The short Japanese description describes our heroes, the play mechanics (two players jockey to a distance where they can use specific fighting game moves). FM Towns - The 'Hypermedia Computer'

The FM stands for Fujistu Micro rather than anything to do with sound (as I once thought it might). Fujitsu had a tradition of code-naming PC projects after Nobel Prize-winning physicists, so the Towns part refers to Charles Townes.

While the Dragon was designed and built in Wales, a licensing agreement with a New Orleans company meant that you could get the Dragon 64, new in box, until 2017, making the Dragon 64 perhaps one of the longest market stays for any micro.
