This is spot on. There's very little sense right now in this debate about the balancing of harms. There's the possibility of that balance altering with a change. But there's also clear harm now that isn't being reckoned with.
I would really like there to be an acknowledgment of harms caused by all our legislation (and lack of legislation). A basic, respectful honesty.

Yes, if we change the law some vulnerable person will end up pressed into ending their life earlier. Yes, if we don’t change it, dying people will suffer

“The economic cost of Brexit, reliably estimated at around 5% of GDP and with a total loss to government coffers by 2035 of over £300bn, is unlikely to be offset by attempting to ‘make Brexit work’ – a slogan which rather confirms that it hasn’t”

Brexit – an unwelcome truth
Labour’s continued silence on Brexit might just reveal an unwelcome truth; another reason, perhaps, to use the Brexit telescope?

We need to get serious . It’s why I’m petitioning for a ban on fossil fuel ads .

No one should be using these vile traps anywhere, and the Royal family should lead the way and not use them.

Important context here:

● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares)

● "a big farm" is 217 acres.

Now let's see who's angry:

● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres
● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres
● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres
● Dyson owns 36,000 acres
A message from a REAL farmer who hasn’t been brainwashed by the Tories, wealthy landowners and the right wing media👇🏽

I still don’t understand why Labour is cutting the winter fuel payments back in this stark manner

No problem at all with wealthy pensioners (I’m almost at that age now) who don’t need it not receiving it obviously

But for only those on Pension Credit to receive it .. is wrong
NEW: Tens of thousands of pensioners are expected to be driven into poverty by cuts to winter fuel payments, according to forecasts by DWP published today

The figures do not factor in the increased uptake of the pension credit benefit

By me, for the Big Issue www.bigissue.com/news/social-...
DWP admits winter fuel cuts will push thousands of pensioners into poverty

There may well be farmers who deserve a fair hearing over Inheritance Tax. These do not include, however...
1. The vast majority who won't pay it.
2. Wealthy, land-hoarding tax-avoiders like Clarkson and Dyson.
3. Anyone who voted for Brexit, because your stupidity, quite frankly, has fucked us all.
