Yes, it has its place. The helicopter in the sky with non-moving blades does look stupid.
Plus shooting at ISO 25000 does not give good images!

Due to the low light, I was trying 1/750 instead of 1/1500 or 1/2000... but forgot I had camera at +1.5 EV for shot of perched Kestrel against sky and had to edit a bit in post. Undecided if I like or dislike the motion blur on the wing tips. Thoughts?

We slowed the video down by 50% and stabilized video. They really fly fast.

I've stood in that exact same spot.... but photographed looking north of a wave crashing behind a Cormorant with the bridge in the background!
