That game will decide who tops Group B & secures qualification to the World Cup. Jamaica hoping for a big home-field advantage & asking fans to wear yellow.

Haiti got a win last night in Curacao, keeping its World Cup dream alive & well despite never playing at home.

I spoke with several players about experiencing nearly all their support through a screen & their hopes of sparking change in Haiti.

For @espn.com: www.espn.com/soccer/story...
Haiti's road to the World Cup doesn't include a stop at home
With its capital city 85% controlled by gangs, Haiti hasn't played a home game in four years, leaving its path to the World Cup entirely on the road.

Golazo Cecilio Waterman!

It looks like he was trying to set up a teammate but the ball stays near him and he rockets a shot into the corner. Panama goes ahead in Guatemala City in what has been a tight match so far.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde BATTLING it out with Kendall Waston on a field in Curacao in the year 2025.

Just Concacaf things.

It's also on Telemundos FAST channel, which I think should be free to anyone in the U.S., even without subscription?

If you thought the controversy around Coco Carrasquilla this week would have him doing anything other than what he always does…not at all.

Mixes it up in the midfield and a late kick out after taking exception to a tackle.

Our first major eyebrow-raiser…Nicaragua is ahead of Honduras in Managua.

Los Catrachos need to win to qualify tonight.

Renaldo Cephas has been causing problems down the left for Jamaica all night, but T&T defender Deron Payne had mostly kept him in check. Got the battle with Andre Raymond, won it & finished.

Reggae Boyz with an advantage worth gold. It’s 1-0 in Port of Spain.

The "Suriname is a team of destiny" case is strengthening.

An attempted clearance is deflected on the wing & falls for Richonell Margaret. His quick shot goes in & the Natio is up 2-0 on El Salvador in the 74th minute.

Pressure on Guatemala & Panama tonight - as though it wasn't already.

Atmosphere is everything in World Cup qualification, but with gang violence still rampant in Haiti, Les Grenadiers haven't played at home in years.

How have they managed the challenge & kept hope - not just for the World Cup but for change in their country - alive?

Raining harder there tonight than it was last month...
The rain is coming down once again in Paramaribo. We may never see a dry qualifier here.

Congoooooooooal

Congo gets a goal from a late volley off a corner kick to go ahead in stoppage time against Cameroon.

How can you not love World Cup qualification? Where are the international break haters?!

Suriname sits in first place in World Cup qualification Group A - a shock, yes.

But the country has a long soccer history, one that includes triumphs but also many sorrows.

Here's my video from Paramaribo about the past that got the Natio to this point:

Noooo way, Gabon.

A giveaway at the back allows Nigeria forward Akor Adams to shoot into an open net.

The winner here goes into the playoff final Sunday. Gabon will now be chasing for 10+ minutes trying to find an equalizer.

Suriname's soccer history is, at times, surreal.

I went to Paramaribo to understand more about the shock 2026 World Cup hopeful & hear about how the current group thinks about the country's sporting past.

The ESPN package where they acted like he was from a tiny town and was a regular at some little TexMex greasy spoon & it was a Mi Cocina is still one of the funniest things to air on television.
