I might have stolen a few signs in my time. This one though, I would have left as it’s a reasonable request, it’s presented in a good humoured manner, and by implication it’s reassuring you that it’s fine for you to actually pass through the gate and be on the other side of it.

While the development of petroleum initially accelerated the whaling industry, eventually we stoped burning whale oil. (Maybe he covers this. I’ve not listened yet.)
