By way of an #introduction I'm a bearded Scotsman living in rural Japan where I currently work for our village on the regional revitalisation scheme.
My mission is to establish a 'Modern Scottish' #craftbeer brewery in the village.
After a long 2.5 year search we finally have our land.

基礎工事は目には見えなくなる部分なので、ついつい写真をたくさん撮ってしまいます！
この建物を支え、将来の安全を守る「土台」となる非常に重要なプロセスですね。無事に終わりますように。
この基礎工事が完了次第、次は上棟へと進みます。
また、今週は醸造設備の注文も完了したところ。これから設備の詳細設計書や配送スケジュールの話し合いも始まります。

ついに醸造所の基礎工事がスタートしました。
基礎工事は目には見えなくなる部分なので、ついつい写真をたくさん撮ってしまいます！

海外の友人の方々からのご支援に関しまして、少し問題が発生いたしました。しかしながら、それ以外の点では、クラウドファンディングは驚くほど順調に進んでおります。残り40日を残しながら、すでに83％の達成率に達しております。

We now have an account for our brewery on Bluesky.

We are (hopefully) just one day out from launching our very first crowdfunding project and I am starting to miss sleep 😴
Hopefully these efforts will help spread the word and connect us to more people.
It would be great if we could hit our financial goal as well of course!

What was once Sakura Taps is now Bamboo 4 - with craft beer and some Mexican food on the menu instead! Count us in! Just make sure it's not tuna though next time, and there will be a next time.

Our application for the national grant subsidy for the brewery has been submitted! Should find out by the end of June if we can start building or if we go back to the drawing board rr: funding.

We don't have our brewery yet, though progress is being made with that. Despite this we are off to talk to craft beer bars, shops, Scottish pubs in Yokohama, Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Okayama. Fun times!

Currently visiting family in Scotland and taking whatever time I can get to visit breweries. Yesterday's breweries were Drygate and WEST, both in Glasgow.
Though I was primarily sampling lagers, the Gose at Drygate was exceptional and the stout at WEST was very tasty.
