By the way, I am graduating! If anyone wants to virtually watch my exit seminar, send a DM! (TU 20 May, 4:10-5:10 PST)

Frankentalk 2! Sanaa Khan (3rd year, Laskowski lab) and Mei Blundell (4th year, Baskett lab) hilariously paint a cohesive story about flies and how they like fungi, math, and yellow things? 🤣 What a funny pair to give this final frankentalk!
December 7, 2024 at 8:54 PM
Julianna Porter (1st year, Bay and Sanford labs) teaches us about their awesome time working at the zoo! Who knew that chinchillas took dust baths? Not me. 🥹

December 7, 2024 at 8:12 PM
As tradition, we now have our first Frankentalk which features pop bios very own Jay Stachowicz out in a seagrass (?) field. Kristin Hardy (2nd year, Henn lab) and Taylor Bright (1st year, Bogar lab) try their best to make a cohesive story!
December 7, 2024 at 8:04 PM
Grace Callahan (1st year, Stachowicz lab) talks about homing pigeons. How do they work?? Why are they so special? 🤯 We learned about the role of the homing pigeons in the World wars 😱.
December 7, 2024 at 7:48 PM
One of my best pals, Oshiomah Oyageshio (5th year, Henn lab) shares some much needed wisdom about how to land industry internships and jobs! Way to go Oshi!! International students have it rough, but Oshi finds a way. 🙌🏼🥹

Introduce yourself with your worst feedback from school:
Hi! I'm Jon, and my 5th grade teacher laughed at me when I told her I dreamt of being a scientist. I put this in my dedication for my MS thesis in 2020.. and now Im hoping to wrap up my PhD by 2025.
