Indecent sprawling from Lyric here. I am bigger, I have hands, I could move him, but what we understand without it ever having to be said is that we are not in charge.

Oh do it! I am bad at it but have made many blankets using only one stitch. Currently crocheting a basket for my cat:

The other thing about the scene was the necessary presence of thousands of pigeons, which is not the case today, because the square is patrolled by Harris hawks. This deters the pigeons because they think there's a predator. (picture from effectivebirdcontrol.co.uk/projects/tra... )

Went to Crete. Love Crete. Also love ancient pottery figurines that prove not everyone who made things out of clay was a brilliant artist. Angry owl? Fine. Wonky eyes? No problem. What is this thing? Who cares, it’s fantastic.

The internet is for cats in jackets, obviously.

I’m finding the camo suit much cuter than the lampshade, and he doesn’t look so much like a weird predator to his brother which is nice.

It also looks like he’ll live, which is tremendous news.

The kitten is home and doing really well, after major surgery on Thursday. We still have to wait a few days before he’s out of the woods but the signs are good so far.

Unperturbed by the sudden disappearance of his brother, Lyric has simply claimed the top spot for himself. Given they used to sleep curled up together this is ruthless behaviour.

This cat is at the vet for the second day in a row. Easier to work, harder to concentrate.

One of the tbr piles around the house. And I’m reading a lot on kindle when I commute because that’s easier when you’re hanging on to a train trying not to fall in people’s laps, so I have no business buying actual books anyway. What tf is wrong with me?

When I decided to abandon the historical novel I thought I’d be leaving research behind. But no. There’s the afternoon lost to Victorian cycling bloomers.
