A game I just played was "Lootcycle Inc." by Omhet omhet.itch.io It was made using Phaser for Gamedev.js Jam 2025. It's in process but I found it really interesting to just look through these works!

This is what the configuration looks like. While right now, at this very moment, is not the best time to be invested in something entirely new, the technical side is really familiar (a mix of JS and C# for me). Though in the future this feels like something I wanna learn!

You got this! You got a game plan and honestly that’s half the battle! (A lil unsolicited advice lol, but I kinda found jumping around through different aspects of a project helps with the bigger picture and to not get overwhelmed with one aspect)

FS ! Bc I was working on both this and ALBOS at the same time, it was interesting to see how they had very similar work flows. Execution was of course different, but I think that’s just what makes the creative process so fun! (Decided to to put 3D for the website bc of ALBOS lol)

Here are some glimpses into the process work! A lot of thought was put into the visual design of each section...to say the least

Okay so this project has sadly taken up most of my time and focus so progress on the Small Game has taken the longest pause...But I wanted to show it off because I did spend a long and many a sleepless night working on it! It's entirely designed and developed solo!

I got the animation in unity! Need to chop it up but it’s at least there

Whoops, here's the actual gameplay #SmallGameStudio

That animation looks phenomenal! Glad you were able to get the coding side figured out

For sure learned a lot about shader graphs and could see the appeal of making a custom one to achieve certain visual effects! But yes the Unity Toon Shader is definitely more intuitive 😅

Cell Shading Test. Cat material and orange ball made with Unity Toon Shader (docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com...) while the white ball made with the shader graph. Goodbye shader graph for you tried your best 🫡

With the discovery of Unity Toon Shader, sadly the work I did with the shader graph does go out the drain (8 hours....)😔, but still need to switch to URP to get the effects I want later down the road.

Okay the visual effect is not exactly what I want so instead testing out Unity Toon Shader, both in the Built In Renderer Pipeline (img 1) and in a URP ver of the game (img 2) and also next to the Custom Shader Graph

On my desk: unused lip tint, glasses, keys, earrings, hairbrush, flyers/loose paper, mechanical keyboard, pc tower/monitors (just to name a few items)

Mostly a combination of I don’t want to think of a bunch of different colors so I’m going to limit the colors I’m using and that I want to emphasis the light aspect (which is prob be in an orangy yellow) so there would be visual contrast !

Whoops, here's the gif
