I spent a whole lot of my early years scratching and clawing my way into animation, only to realize that I wasn't that good at it, didn't even like doing it and have been drawing comics the whole while with great passion and enjoyment.

Rewatching Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. I love how rude the people are in their day to day. It feels right. No dramatic irony like, "Don't you know who that is?" No comuppence through superhero stuff. These are the people he serves. You can imagine these guys are have rough days, too.

Over halfway through "The Most Human Human" right now and the only reason I haven't finished it sooner is because I gotta stop and reflect every ten pages.

One of the best tropes is when there's an antagonist that constantly loses to the protagonist to the point of it becoming a running gag,
but then the story puts them up against literally anyone else and they are completely overqualified. Just, hypercompetent to the point of absurdity.
